WORK VS PRIVATE
Describe your average work day:
At 06:00am my girlfriend’s daylight lamp turns on, then she goes to work. I get up with her and provide a cup of coffee and then a lovely walk with our dog Mila. After that it’s coaching / answering mails / recording podcasts or writing articles for magazines / blogs. In the afternoon I exercise for an hour and at 04:00pm I stop my work. At 4.15 pm my girlfriend comes home and we go for a walk, cook and enjoy the evening together. Sometimes I have an event from social media or am booked as a speaker at companies.
Describe your average day off:
We sleep without an alarm clock. Start the day nice and quiet and will then quickly go with the dog to the forest or to the beach to walk for hours. Furthermore, the day is all about chilling. This can be going on visits, reading, watching a film or just enjoying listening to music. In any case: no work.
What makes you really happy?
The freedom that I now have, the small successes that you achieve in a day. In addition, the possibility to fall back on my girlfriend or best friend.
What irritates you the most?
People who get stuck in a victim role and do not take responsibility for his or her life.
Who inspires you and why?
Dr. Michael Gervais gives nice insight about how to unlock your authentic self, explore the edges of your potential, and live a life of purpose and meaning.
What is your favourite place in the world?
Portugal stole my heart this summer. Wonderful nature / beach and nice people.
What is vitality to you?
Stop using avoidance strategies that you employ in order not to feel. Are you willing to say goodbye to your old self and embrace what you’ve done so far? In addition, conscious dietary choices and exercise result from good quality sleep. Vitality is to make your health a priority so that you can help yourself and others. Sleep well!
How do you take care of your own vitality?
By not letting every minute be the most important one, a lot of free time and not being busy with financial values but living according to my values.
What is (are) your best tip(s) to share with others?
Go to bed at the same time every night. This provides more energy and better performance during the day.
Time goes by very quickly, don’t get stuck in the past or keep hoping for the future. Enjoy the here and now!
